Our client requires an Electrical Supervisor for a position based in Nigeria. This role is being offered on a 4/4 rotational basis on a 12 month renewable contract. The MOB date is September 2010.More...Main Duties * Anticipate problems by checking in due time the engineering documents for good engineering practices. * Coordinate with operations to ensure compliance with requirements * Ensure that the contractor personnel are trained or certified to access/work on electrical stations/premises. * Involvement in the permit to work preparation in order to make sure the activity is well organized to avoid any delay due to the PTW process. * Review and analyse planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities, review progress for discipline related activities and coordinate with project planning engineer * Follow up (if any) procurement, construction, expediting FAT for discipline related activities. * Give full assistance to site teams during the preparation and execution of shutdowns. * Comment on contractor documents - method statement, procedures etc in due time * Coordinate activities aimed at ensuring compliance to project specification within his discipline * Ensure that approved site modifications are implemented and documented for as-built * Lead any site verification or survey in his discipline and coordinate reporting of result. HSE responsibilities * Support and enforce the HSE project objectives and directives * Support and implement the project HSE management system (plans, procedures and specification) * Attend HSE meetings and training when required * Participate in job safety analysis and make and make safety suggestions * Report any unsafe acts or conditions observed. Qualifications and background * BSC or HND in Electrical Engineering * Must have 9 years for BSC and 12 years for HND in Electrical & HVAC installation, Oil and Gas sector. * Must speak English * Must be computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Closing Date: August 19, 2010. Swift Worldwide Resources : UFR Structural Engineer(Lagos) Our client is looking for a UFR Structural Engineer for a position based in Lagos, Nigeria. The position is being offered on a residential basis on a 12 month renewable contract but the expected duration of the service is expected to end Q4 2014.More...Main Duties * Acting as Specialist within UFR team and providing answers for all matters related to hydrodynamic analyses * Managing the UFR contractor with respect to all structural design activities by reviewing and monitoring all relevant engineering documents throughout all project phases. Review the design of riser's appurtenances (top/bottom assemblies, buoyancy tanks, flexjoints, bulkheads, etc), umbilical ancillaries (subsea arch), export buoy (hull, mooring structures), oil offloading lines appurtenances (end connections), flowlines integrated structures (FLET, ITAs), suction anchor piles, covering transportation, fabrication, installation and operation phases. * Managing the UFR contractor with respect to the qualification of critical items (buoyancy tanks, welds qualification, etc). * Assisting in the review of hydrodynamic analyses (global, interference, fatigue analyses, etc) of the risers / dynamic umbilicals / export buoy / oil offloading lines covering transportation, installation and operation phases. * Assisting in UFR system structural equipment fabrication * Assisting in UFR system installation and hook-up * Assisting in interface management with FPSO & SPS contractors * Assisting in analysis of UFR Contractor technical queries and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these queries * Ensuring that engineering is performed in line with the clients general specifications and issue proper derogations, if required. * Getting assistance from clients Specialists, or third parties, if required, for specific topics * Getting feedback from other deepwater projects on risers systems * Participating in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews).Essential * Educated to degree level or higher in structure and / or hydrodynamics and / or ocean / civil engineering and / or construction of steel structures * Minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas, associated with structural analyses and riser design, including the use of FE software such as ABAQUS or equivalent * Communication - ability to function as part of a dispersed Project Team to maintain clear understanding to design issues, progress and objectives * Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with a multi-disciplined/multi-cultural team * Good knowledge of international design codes / standards and general specifications * Fluent in English language.
