Chief Financial Officer At Global Jobs A chief financial officer is needeed at our office in Lagos and listed below is the description for the position.More...Description: •The Chief Financial Officer reports to Executive Board Chairman or Group CEO. •Final responsible for the financial management of the Group.• Oversee and provide directions on the financial management of the various operations, including developing financial and budget policies and procedures, (the group has several retails operations in each of the 3 countries the company is currently located in Africa). •His/her duties include producing annual reports, signing important financial transactions, devising long-term plan, capital raising activities, analysing and reviewing financial data from the various, reporting to the board on Country operations performance, monitoring expenditures and costs. •He or she may also hold additional responsibility like mergers, acquisitions, oversees treasury, investment and risk management. •Lead the financial growth of the Group’s business in a profitable and sustainable manner.• Provide forecast data periodically to the Board. •With the Board members, ensure the development of a Strategic Plan for the Group to maximize shareholder value consistent with sustainable business practices, and recommend it to the Board for review and approval. •Ensure compliance with local, national and international budgetary reporting requirements. •Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry. •Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports. •Establish standard internal control safeguards. •Propose investments after having defined the company investment targets and risk tolerance with management. •Collect and review all needed documentation for investments.• Explore long-term and short-term investments opportunities for each particular unit. •Contact potential local and international investors and be able to attract the best opportunities for the company. •Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. •Analyse the Countries monthly reports and advise accordingly for improving corporate performance. •Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. •Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day financial, tax and accounting affairs of the Group within the guidelines established by the Board, consistent with decisions requiring prior approval of the Board and the Board’s expectations of Management. •Direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems from the different countries. •Oversee the countries general operations in order to ensure they maintain an appropriate capital structure to support its Annual Operating Plans and Strategic Plans. •Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company. •Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate, and conservation of assets. •Represent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general public. Qualifications: •Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting, ten years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. • Qualified Charted Accountant. • 10-15 of experience in senior level position. •MBA preferred.
